STARRING: Josh Turner, Danielle Peck & Little Big Town!!

Here is Josh Turner & Danielle Peck at the autograph booth.
It was alot of fun getting to talk to them and see them up close!
They were so nice!

Here is Little Big Town at the autograph booth!
They were so nice to talk with! The blonde, Kim, has such a sweet
kind-of little country girl voice! It was alot of fun!

Heres Jacquie and I waiting for the concert to start!
Don'tcha love my hat! It's what I used to get the autographs!
I have them all on the under part of the brim.

Here's Danielle Peck on stage.

Josh Turner on stage.

Little big Town on stage.
In trying to get good shots of them singing on stage I thought I'd take one of the
screen they use (for those farther away). I was surprised to see what I got. I think
this is pretty cool! Theres Josh Turner centered, and part of his band too.

The State Fair - continued

Here she is learning how they washed clothes back in the old days, using the washboard. She had fun in here. She got to learn how to chop vegies, 'churn' butter, grind grain into flour, used a saw to cut a piece of log (small one) and something else that was like peeling the log, all different things to learn and see how things were done back then.

The animals!!! She loves looking at (and touching) the animals!! Then we came across the baby chicks! We couldn't get her to leave. We had to pick her up and, with her crying, pull her away!!
She just loves the baby chicks!! (It was kinda cute though! )

After the fair!! Not even ten minutes in the car heading home, Elizabeth was getting comfy and went to sleep!! She was whooped! Poor baby! It ended up taking us about 2 hours to get home (due to traffic) and she slept all the way and then another hour after we got home!

It was a long day! After we got home we watched the Seahawks game that we recorded- YAY they won! After dinner we started rearranging the living room again!

So tomorrow is my day off and I'm taking it!! I am going to enjoy our new couch!! Posted by Picasa

The State Fair

We took Elizabeth to the fair today. Donnie and I had gotten free admission tickets when we went to the concert so we thought Elizabeth would love going too!
She did!!!
She got to see lots of animals and pet some of them. There were even some babies to see.

Here she and daddy are talking to the llama, or having a stare down! haha I think the llama won!!

Here she is playing music! There was this contraption there and it's like someone put together a pile of garbage. But it's meant to be used as a musical instrument of sorts. The kids got a couple of the hand made drumsticks and just went to town making their music! Hitting/beating on any part of it they wanted. Elizabeth loved it!!!! I think she hit on every piece she could reach.

She wanted to ride some rides, so we let her do two. This is the little kids roller coaster she did for one of her rides. She loves these roller coasters! She is so much fun to watch on it too. She screams and throws up her arms and screams some more! It's great!!!!

Garage Sale Saturday!

This weekend was our City-wide garage sale (Sat. only). It's really alot of fun. There are usually at least 50 house address that sign up to be on a map, plus the mill uses their employee parking lot for people to set up tables (which it usaully has a bunch). There are usually a ton more people that set up sales that don't want to be on the map that have sales.
I decided this year to go 'shopping'! I went looking for organization stuff for the scrap room. I also kept my eye open for a couch in good shape!

Friday we found one that had started their sale a day early. They usually do one every year and its a multifamily sale! A ton of stuff! I did find some little rubbermaid type containers we can use and my MIL found a doll house for Elizabeth! Oh she was sooo excited! They came right home and they both took it out to the kids' playroom and started setting it up!
Elizabeth has been in there playing with it every chance she's had!

On Sat. at the first house I went to which is one of our neighbors, I lucked out! They had their couch for sale and at a decent price! We really needed one, the one we had was falling apart! So I called Donnie and he said get it! YAY!!
So tonight we decided to set it up in the living room. Of course, again having to rearrange part of the room! UGH!!

We are lovin it now! It's so nice to sit and not worry about where the cushions are and being comfortable on them!!

Didn't find really anything else that I had to buy! Of course there were a few that I woulda liked, but I didn't! Posted by Picasa

Dance Class!

Well Elizabeth had her first dance class last night.Of course I missed it but Grandma was able to take her. She said they were so sute! Elizabeth just loved it! Walked in there likeshe'd been there numerous times before! Walked right up to one little girl and said "My name is Elizabeth, what's yours?"!!! She's very forward that way! It was just tooo funny!
Here she is, in the bright pink shirt with the light pinkish leggings. I'm not
exactly sure what she's doing though!
She's so excited about it all!
She brought home a box of candy bars to sell (help pay for the cost of their outfits).
I think there was 52 in it and when we got home there is 12 left! She (with Grandmas help)
went to town making calls to sell them! She has til the 26th to sell the rest and try to sell another 52, if possible!
Anyone local here want to buy one, give me a call!!!! (or if you aren't local but want to help too email me or call!)
Now she's off at school with all her excitement there!
I just love this age!

Montgomery Gentry!!

WOW!! What a show!!

Donnie and I went last night to the fair to see these guys! Never having seen them before
we had no idea what kind of show they did!
Well......they are awesome!!!

Here is Eddie Montgomery posing for me for his picture!

The show was great! These guys can sing and put on a show that you'll never forget!

We had some pretty great seats too! We got row 5 and we were in the middle of the stage! There was nobody directly in front of us and the rows in front of them, the people sat most the night! So we had no problem seeing!!
I told Donnie, because I had perfect eye contact with Eddie (black hat) and because of where we were sitting, he kept looking right at me all night! But he did for sure at least once. During one of the songs we did hand motions and when it was that time again no one else did it but me. He looked right at me and did it with me! It was great!!

This is a good shot to show how close we were!

It was another great 'date night' for Donnie and me!!!

Am I HOT?!

OK So not what your 4yo should be saying, right?!

Well today is her first day of school. She had to get dressed in her new school clothes, then we had to fix her hair pretty.
So she told me how to fix her hair and I did it that way.
She said 3 ponies! One in the back(middle) and one on each side! OK, no problem, it'll be cute!

So as I'm finishing putting in her pony tails she says, "Now my friends will think I'm HOT!"

Mom & Dad: "What?"
She says: "The boys will think I'm really HOT now!"
Mom & Dad: Laughing now!!!

Yes, she is only 4yo!! But with a 17yo sister, what do you expect?!!
So, here she is looking all HOT!!

If you look closely, you can see the jeans have sparkle!

This one is a side shot to show her back pony tail.

This is to show off her new Cowgirl boots! Posted by Picasa

I did it!!

Well this morning I got up and decided that I wanted to do something around this house - the decorating fix it up bug is still biting!
So I decided to surprise Donnie and paint the master bathroom.
It didn't take that long to do, just the waiting in between for it to dry, and afterwards. I was putting the covers on just before he got home.

Well I did it! I surprised him!

He thought something was different, it looked brighter, then he turned on the light and was WOW'd!!
He said "When'd you do this?" DUH! hahaha
He loved it!

Now to get rid of that 70's yellow bathtub/shower & toilet!

My little GIRL!

I was here today with the baby running around and Elizabeth trying to entertain themselves.
Then for some reason she decided her toe nails needed colored again!
So she asked me to help reach the bottles we had put out of reach and then found herself somewhere that she could paint that she wouldn't get in trouble if she made a mess!
I sat here and watched her get started. So CUTE!!
The baby was running laps at the front door, back and forth.
I decided I HAD TO take pictures of her painting her toe nails!!
It was funny. After every picture was taken she asked "You didn't get me in that picture, did you?" hahaha! She kept thinking I was taking pictures of the baby, so I went with it! One time I got caught and got yelled at. hahahaha
I just think these are too cute! She's only 4 years old and she's putting nail polish on her toes, by herself, because they needed more!

Preschool Slow start day

Today was Elizabeth's slow start day at preschool. Thats basically where the kids get to meet the teachers (if they haven't already), get to make their snacktime placemat, and get a picture taken that will be used for their cubbie. They also get a walk around the class room to see whats there. The parent gets to sit in teeny tiny chairs about 6 inches from the floor lol and fill out paperwork or whatever the teachers need from us.
Well Elizabeth was busy with the teachers doing her thing and because I was babysitting we had to take the baby with us so Donnie kept him playing with the toys while I did all the paperwork.
So I was only able to get this one picture of her from today.

But at least I got this one. When it was time to leave she faught with us, again! She wasn't ready and wanted to stay! So daddy had to carry her out!
Now we are counting down to Monday! She will be going 4 days a week, MTWTH, doing the afternoon classes. She was mad when I told her she was going 4 days. She said "NO! I don't want to!! I WANT TO GO 5 DAYS!!" We couldn't help but laugh then explain they don't have a class on fridays!
She's so excited about going again this year!

Weekend 'fun'!

Here are some pictures of our living room tonight after we got all the painting done and got the pictures back on the wall finally!! (we haven't have the kids' pictures up for probably close to a year, really!)

The stairway wall. This is now the family picture wall. We aren't done with this wall, hanging pictures. Below the four hangings on the right we will be adding the boys the same way. We also have other family pictures to add - we take a family picture each year while on vacation.

This is starting in our living room(the left side). This is where the computer is. We have it in this black armoir. On the wall beside the window is a picture of the three oldest holding Elizabeth the day she was born.

This is the right side of the living room. Beside the window is another picture of all the kids but taken just a couple years ago, 2004 I blieve. Then you can see the TV stand with the picture and candle holders we hung on this wall. This wall we first wall papered and then painted.

Heres a kinda full view of the room. You can see Donnie on the couch relaxing finally!
The set up of the furniture is something new we are trying. So far its not bad.

We also did the walls in the foyer area (which is right behind me when I took the full view picture) and we did the hallway to the bedrooms and bathroom (which is to the left of me at the top of the stairs).

TFL!

Sundays layout - Winter Program

OK so here is my next layout I did.
I wasn't able to get my page done before the deadline on Saturday, but
I made wure I got the Sunday challenge done!
Here it is. We had a sketch again and we had 7 techniques that we had to
choose 4 from to use.
I used inking, rub ons, bling, & photo corners.
