We decided we were going to go to the ocean this year to watch the fireworks show there! Of course not knowing what we were really going to get!
OMG!! It was awesome! We had a wonderful time!!
We ended up just taking Elizabeth with us - the big kids wanted to hang out with their friends.
We got Elizabeth a pkg of Sparklers and headed out! We had no idea how many people would be there! NO KIDDING - it was like a full parking lot, with the tide coming in!! We took the cooler with our 4th of July meal. I made some fried chicken earlier and through in a salad for each of us. Then I cut up a watermelon and cantelope. We took potato chips and for desert we had one of the chocolate muffins from Costco - YUM-O!!!
As the tide came in it brought the cold wind. Good thing we brought blankets and jackets! We just watched everyone around us shooting their fireworks & enjoying the show all around us.
When it was a bit darker we let Elizabeth do her sparklers, but not til I used someones firepit to light one! Ha ha, neither of us remembered a lighter or matches!
It was way too cool!! We were sitting at our car in our chairs and watching fireworks shooting on all sides, and even RIGHT OVER OUR HEAD!! It was totally AWESOME!!
I tried getting some good pictures of the fireworks. Some came out ok, but alot didn't!! I need to get a tripod! Here are some of the good ones:
We had a fun time and we will be doing this again, with all the kids next time!
